ITDI Celebrates 109^th Foundation Anniversary

            The Industrial Technology Development Institute of the Department of Science & Technology (ITDI-DOST) will celebrate its 109^th foundation anniversary on June 26, 2010 with simple rites at its Executive Offices in the Metrology Bldg., ITDI-DOST, inside the DOST Cpd., Gen. Santos Ave., Bicutan, Taguig City.

The celebration will start with a thanksgiving mass, followed by a program to be highlighted by a Press Conference for the launching of the Jatropha Bio-Diesel Processing facilities and the 3^rd Generation biogas digester.  Said Press Conference will be held at the Conf. Room of EBD Bldg, ITDI-DOST.

The occasion will be graced by DOST Sec. Dr. Estrella F. Alabastro, Philippine National Oil Commission (PNOC) and PNOC Alternative Fuel Corp. (PAFC) Executives who will share the limelight with Dr. Nuna E. Almanzor, ITDI Director as she presents the certificates of appreciation/recognition to retirees and academic graduates.

As part of the celebration, two simultaneous Technical Sessions will be conducted on June 29, 2010.  Session 1 will cover technological innovations and technologies for transfer/technical services. Topics include new trends in recycling CD scraps, alternative sugars, wine kits, turmeric tablets, microemulsified hybrid fuel from jatropha and coconut oils as well as the various technical services ITDI offers e.g. packaging, tests & analyses, metrology awareness, energy audit and environmental (ETV. CP, etc).  This will be held at the Metrology Conf. Room, Metrology Bldg., ITDI-DOST, Gen. Santos Ave., Bicutan, Taguig City.

Session 2 on the other hand, features a techno-demonstration to showcase the assembly and operation of ITDI’s improved Portable Biogas Digester-EBD 1200/2000.  This will be held at the EBD Conference Room, EBD bldg, ITDI-DOST cpd., Gen. Santos Ave., Bicutan, Taguig City.  The participants shall be charged a reasonable fee of P 400 @ to cover meal, snacks and materials.
