The
Industrial Technology Development Institute of the Department of Science
& Technology (ITDI-DOST) will celebrate its 107th Foundation Anniversary
on July 1 & 2, 2008. The theme of the celebration is "ITDI: Bridging
Technology and Industry."
The 2-day
celebration will be ushered in with a thanksgiving mass followed by a
brief program to be graced by the DOST Sec. ESTRELLA F. ALABASTRO. This
activity will be held at the Metrology Grounds, ITDI-DOST Cpd., Bicutan,
Taguig City.
In the afternoon
of day 1, three simultaneous technical sessions will be conducted to drum
up awareness on Special S&T Services; Food Processing R&D and
Technical Services that the Institute provides; including Environmental
Waste Management.
The organizers
lined up very interesting topics such as: Cleaner Production Technology
cum Energy Efficiency (CP-EE), Packaging Services, Standardized process
for Muscovado, Anaerobic Fermentation of Food Processing Wastewater and
Waste Plastic Bags in Asphalt Concrete, among others. A nominal fee of
P 100 per participant will be charged to cover cost of snacks in the various
Technical Sessions.
